Hugh Bryon Storckman, 15, a Kingman high school junior, was killed Friday, July 6, in an auto accident near Yeddo. He died a few minutes after being admitted to Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis.
Storckman was a passenger in an auto with Duane Lee Keller, 17, also of Kingman Route 1.
The accident occurred at 12:15 a.m. approximately two miles west of Yeddo on the Cate-Yeddo blacktop road. The youths were reported to be traveling west en route home from a drive-in movie at Danville when their auto left the road and struck a tree.
Both were taken to Culver hospital at Crawfordsville in the Woodrow ambulance from Kingman. They were then transferred to the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis.
Storckman was reported to have died of head and neck injuries. Keller was admitted for treatment of a fractured jaw and possible internal injuries. He was described in satisfactory condition.
Storckman was born October 27, 1946 in Danville, son of Stanley and Della Pearman Storckman.
Survivors include his parents of Kingman Route 1; a brother, Ronald at home; a sister, Barbara Ann at home; and a foster grandmother, Mrs. Lois Mills of Hanover.
Services were Saturday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with burial in the Kingman Fraternal cemetery.
