Edith Stonebraker, 79, RR 3, Veedersburg, died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, at her home.
Born July 5, 1904 in Rossville, Illinois, she was the daughter of Frank and Bessie Woods Shirley. In June of 1926, she married Charlie Stonebraker, who died in 1962. She was a member of First Christian Church of Veedersburg.
Survivors include six sons, William of Kingman, Jack of Attica, Carl of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles of Veedersburg, James and Larry, both of Covington; a stepson, Maurice Stonebraker of Danville, Illinois; four daughters, Mrs. Lee Roy Marnout of Covington, Mrs. Gordon Douglas, Mrs. Gerald Keeling, and Mrs. Oscar West, all of Veedersburg; 29 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a stepson, a grandchild, eight brothers, and two sisters.
Services were conducted Friday at First Christian Church in Veedersburg with Rev. Bill Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
