Paul R. Stockdale, 54, Rt 1, Veedersburg, Scott Prairie farmer died Friday night in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient a day and a half. He had been in failing health for the past year. He was born in Fountain County April 10, 1906, a son of George W. and Ella Booe Stockdale and was married to Fern Gray at Terre Haute June 14, 1930. Mrs. Stockdale was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church,the Masonic Lodge at Wallace and Fountain Co. Farm Bureau and president of Guernsey Breeders Association. Surviving besides the wife are two sons, Paul Gene at Hillsboro and Lowell Keith,at home; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Ephlin of near Hillsboro and Mary Carolyn Stockdale, at home; 3 brothers, Guy (Veedersburg), Arthur (Danville, Il) and Ralph (Crawfordsville); a sister, Mrs. William Coats of Rt 1, Veedersburg and three grandchildren, Phillip,Kevin and Debra Ephlin. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. George W. Cartwright of Wabash, Ind, officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm. Saturday.
