STOCKDALE, Bertha Neese - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bertha Neese Stockdale, 93, Covington, died at 3:35 a.m. March 2, 1992, at Covington Manor Health Care Center. She was born June 27, 1898, near Poland, the daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Lehr Neese. She was married to Guy H. Stockdale, Jan. 6, 194Z at Morganfield, Ky. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1975. She had been a resident of Covington since 1964, and a former resident of the Steam Corner neighborhood. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had attended Scott's Prairie Church for many years. She enjoyed quilting and raising flowers. She is survived by three sons: three sons, Harold (Gail), Covington; George W. (Jeri), LaMesa, Calif.; Gale L. (Beverly), Route 1, Covington; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Verna M.) Toby, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Charles (Sandra L.) McKinney, Route 1, Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was prececed in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters . and a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Craig Wascovich officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
