Mrs. Augusta Stitt, 88, of 1000 Myers, died at 7:29 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the Americana Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for a month. She was born Feb. 24, 1885, in Danville, the daughter of Carl and Sophia Jarling Wiese. Her husband, Harry, preceded her in death in 1955. Survivors include a son, Leo of Danville, a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Alberta) Bond of Danville, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Her hobbies were sewing and raising flowers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
