Pine Village—Helen E. Stewart, 84, Pine Village, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, May 7, 1989 in Edgewood View Healthcare Center in Oxford. She had been ill 10 months.
She was born July 26, 1904 in Rensselaer. She was married April 25, 1925 in Pine Village to Dearl Stewart, who survives.
She graduated from Pine Village High School in 1922. She and her husband moved to Chicago where she was assistant secretary-treasurer of the Kast Corp. In 1938, they returned to Pine Village from Chicago, and she and her husband co-owned Pine Village Feed Co.
She was a member of Pine Village Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 347 in Pine Village, Pythian Sisters and a charter member of Epsilon Chapter, Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Surviving besides her husband are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hahn Funeral Home Chapter, Oxford, with the Revs. Harold Varner and Gene Polf officiating. Burial was in Pine Village Cemetery.
