Attica – Ora E. Stevens, 71 of Attica died in Wabash Railroad Hospital, Peru Sunday. He had been a patient in the hospital one day. Born at Mellott, he had been employed a total of 46 years by four railroads as a road master. The railroads were C&EI, CA&S, Wabash and NY Central. He spent 14 years in Lafayette before moving to the Attica community. He was married in 1914 at Covington to Beulah Beason and he was a member of the Mellott Christian Church and Brotherhood of Maintenance of Railway Employees. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Robert Dean and Claude, both of Attica, two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Pheneear of Fowler and Mrs. Imogene Keefer of Terre Haute and a sister, Mrs. Nora Krout of Veedersburg. - kbz
