ATTICA — Estalee Eleanor
(Bennett) Morgan Stetler, 90, formerly of Attica died Sunday Feb 17, 2002 in
the Waters Edge Nursing Center, Alameda, Calif. She was born Nov. 9, 1912 in
Attica, the daughter of Edward and Myrtle Hann Bennett. She married David T. Morgan
in Indianapolis. He preceded in death in 1937. She married Ralph Stetler Dec.
18, 1945 in Lafayette. He preceded in death in April 1983. She was raised in
Attica and attended Attica High School. In 1943 she moved to Lafayette until
1946 when she moved to Boswell. In 1985 she moved to the Oakland area in
California to live with her daughter. She was a homemaker. While living in
Attica, she attended the First Assembly of God Church. After moving to Boswell
she attended the Boswell Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising her family.
Survivors include: three daughters, Anna Jean (Earl) Pyle, Oakland, Calif.,
Mary Belle Clement, West Lafayette and Versa (Cecil) Adkins, Nancy, Ky.; three
sons, Milton Lee (Mabel) Morgan and William Ralph Stetler, both of Russell
Springs, Ky. and Michael Lynn (Charlotte) Stetler, Tacoma, Wash.; two sisters,
Blanche Lawton, Lafayette and Mabel Shoaf, Fort Worth, Texas; a step sister,
Esther Ruth, Hammond; 25 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren. She was
also preceded in death by three brothers, Lee Coleman, Steven Bennett and Ansel
Bennett; a sister, Pearl; and a half sister, Marie Edwards. Funeral services
were at 2 p.m. Friday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Bill Mickler
officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – jlr
