WINGATE, Ind. — Mrs. Goldie Stettler, 87, of Wingate, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (April 7, 1979) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had resided at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville since 1973. She was a member of the Center Christian Church north of Waynetown and was a former member of the Center Help Society. Born Dec. 21, 1891, in Pence, she was the daughter of Edward and Nancy Jane Lloyd McHaffey. She was married on May 9, 1914, to William Charles Stettler of Attica, who died in 1957. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Palmer (Mildred) Meadows of Linden and Mrs. Frank (Aletha) Yaeger of Attica; a son, Ralph of Boswell; 13 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown, with the Rev. Homer Hunsinger officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery north of Elmdale. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. --typed by Walt W
