STEMBAUGH, Mary Ellingwood - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

KINGMAN – Mary Ellen Stembaugh, 87, died Friday morning in the home of a son, William, near Kingman. A native of Veedersburg, she was born Aug. 1, 1875, to William and Mary Ellen Lamb Ellingwood. Her husband, Charles William Stembaugh, died Jan. 27, 1926. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, two sons and five sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Lehman of Lafayette, and Mrs. Hallie Carter of near Kingman; two sons, Delmar of Veedersburg and William, and 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Woodrow Funeral Home here, with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating and burial in the Harveysburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. – jlr
