Mrs. Jennie Stembaugh, a life time county resident and for many years a resident of the Veedersburg community died of a heart ailment lastFriday afternoon. She had been a patient at the Culver Hospital for the

past 8 days before her death.  She was born June 12, 1865 the daughter of Peter and Rosanna Hollman Shults, in the Newtown community.  She was married to Monroe Stembaugh in 1894. Surviving are two sons, Ivan of Aurora, SD and Halsey at home and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the husband and a third son, Cecil. She was a member of the United Brethren Church.  Funeral services were held on Monday at the Fishero Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Chelan officiating. Burial at Rockfield Cemetery.
