HIGHLAND PARK, ILL. — Mary Daniel Staver, 76, Highland Park, Ill., died at 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 18, 1999, at Highland Park Hospital. Born Jan. 7, 1923, in Irvine, Ky., she was the daughter of Harry Daniel and Addie Frances Isaacs. She married Ellsworth Staver, Jr. April 22, 1946, in Indianapolis, who survives. She was a graduate of Tangier High School and Indiana State University. She had been a resident of Highland Park, Ill., since 1954, after residing in New Jersey and Chicago for several years. She was a college teacher for many years at Moody's Bible College and Truman College in Chicago. She was a member of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church and active in its prayer group. She was also a member of Actor's Equity. Survivors, other than her husband, include: daughters, Deborah A. Brennan, Indianapolis, Elizabeth Diane Staver, De Kalb, Ill.; sisters, Beulah Renick, Indianapolis, Elon Summers, Kingman, Peggy Parke, Covgington; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Virgil Daniel. Funeral services were 11 a.m. on Aug. 21 at Shelby Funeral Home. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. – jlr
