Lewis Starnes of Hillsboro is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Charles R. Trowbridge, 109 Wallace Avenue for a few days. Mr. Starnes is president of the Hillsboro Telephone Company which he represented at the telephone convention the first of the week. Mr. Starnes' exchange has the unique distinction of maintaining the lowest rate of any telephone company in this part of the state one dollar being the charge per month for both business and residence service on which good dividends have been paid. The exchange has been in operation for many years and is considered a model in present day equipment.
