Harold Starnes, 71, died of an apparent heart attack at 4 p.m. Wednesday at  his home in Wallace.  He had been employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co, Attica for many years, retiring in 1979. He was born May 14, 1913 in Wallace, the son of Reid and Harriet Grins Starns (sic).  He was married in Kingman February 18, 1940 to Margaret Redenbaugh of Kingman who survives.  He had lived most of his life in the Wallace Community. He was a vet of WWII serving in the navy. He attended Yeddo Baptist Church.  He was a graduate of Wallace HS 1931 and the Utterback Business College in Danville, Ill.  Surviving besides the wife are two sons, John, Manassa, VA and Joe, St. Joseph, MI; one sister, Mrs Lois Simpson Rt 1, Hillsboro; one uncle, Arthur Starns, Albuquerque NM and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Funeral Home  in Waynetown with Rev. David Nicholas officiating. Burial in Zackmire Cem, Wallace.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hemaphilas Foundation.

He had lived most of his life in the Wallace community. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He attended Yeddo Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Wallace School in 1931 and the Utterback Business College in Danville, Ill. Surviving, besides the wife, are two sons, John, Manassas, Va. And Joe, St. Joseph, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Lois Simpson, Rt. 1, Hillsboro; one uncle, Arthur Starns, Albuquerque, N.M. and six grandchildren.
