STARNES, Elmer Faris - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Faris Starnes, 78 of Kingman d. at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday June 26, 1973 at Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Danville. He had been a patient 3 weeks.  Born June 29, 1894 in Fountain County, he was the s/o AE & Mahala Alward Starnes. He married Susie Sanders june 27, 1913 who survives. He was a retired farmer and businessman. A member of the Freedom Congreagational Church, he had served many years as deacon. He was a member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge & Wallace Low 12 Club. Other suravivors include two sons, Carl of Crawfordsville and Jack of Wallace; a brother, Arthur of Albuquerque NM; six grandchildren and 3 greats. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Woodrow Funeral Home with burial in Wayentown Masonic Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday at the funeral home.
