STARNES, Alice Harper - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Alice Barbara Starnes, 90, widow of FC Starnes who died in 1947 died in the Westbrook Nursing Home in Crawfordsville where she had been a patient for the last two years. She had been a lifelong resident of the Wallace Community. Mrs. Starnes was the daughter of Joseph and Amelia Harper and was born Sept 13, 1867. She was a member of the Phanuel Lutheran Church of Wallace. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Effie Weddell of Oak Park, Mich; a foster daughter, Mrs. Lena Weeks of near Kingman. Funeral services were held at the Wallace Christian Church at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. John Servies of Crawfordsville officiating. Crumley Funeral Home of Hillsboro was in charge of the burial held at the Lutheran Cemetery near Wallace. – kbz
