Covington - Samuel Blayne Starkey, age 65 died at 5 p.m. at St. Vincents Hospital Center at Indianapolis. He was born in Stone Bluff March 29, 1935 to Harry and Sally Brown Starkey.  He was married March 7, 1953 at Sterling to Charlotte Hancock. She survives. He is also survived by three sons: David (Anita)) of Veedersburg; Dennis (Denise) of Defiance, Ohio and Steve (Phyllis) of Covington.  Two brothers, Harry of Danville and Bill of Hillsboro; two sisters, Betty Templeton of South Bend and Jayne Elliott of Covington, six grandchildren and a great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Joe and sister, Bobby.  Mr. Starkey was a member of the Stone Bluff Methodist Church and worked for Olin Mathison and was a former clerk for Fountain County Circuit Court.  He was a 1953 Veedersburg graduate.  Services will be at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg Wednesday May 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington.  Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
