George O. Starkey, 77, of 2018 Scott Street died at 9:30 p.m. Friday in Home Hospital where he had been a patient six days. He had been in ill health for 30 years. Born in Vermillion County, he married Grace May Smith in 1903 at Wallace. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias here and a retired Home Hospital Employee. Surviving with the widow are a brother, Joe Starkey of Kingman and Doris DePew of St. Charles, MO who was reared in the home. ---transcribed by kbz
