Attica, Ind Jan 7 – The body of Dr. William V. Stansfield, 62-year-old bank official and Fountain County Democratic leader was returned here today from Indianapolis where he died after a two-month illness. He had practiced medicine in the county 34 years. Dr. Stansfield was president of the Newtown State Bank.  He resided in Newtown 20 years before coming here in 1924. A native of Kentucky, he served in the medical corps during the World War.  He was a member of the city council from 1931 to 1935. The widow, Mrs. Eva Stansfield, a daughter, Miss Laveda Stansfield; a sister and two brothers living in Kentucky survive. - kz
