VEEDERSBURG — Funeral services for Delmar Stambaugh, age 70, of Veedersburg, who died Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fishero Funeral Home here. The Rev. Harry Stidham officiated and burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. Mr. Stambaugh was born in Fountain County on July 17, 1900, the son of Charles and Ella Ellingwood Stambaugh. He was married in 1928 at Cayuga to Loretta F. Jennings, who died Nov. 7, 1969. Since 1945, Mr. Stambaugh had served as sexton at Bonebrake Cemetery and he also cared for several township cemeteries. Surviving are; one son, Charles of Veedersburg; seven daughters, Mrs. Leonard Mathis of Veedersburg, Mrs. David Fuller of Elwood, Mrs. Russell Smith of Frankfort, Mrs. Marie Bacon of Banquor, Mich., Mrs. Albert Fox of Attica, Mrs. James Felix of Talbott, and Mrs. Loretta Sanders of Veedersburg; one brother, William of Yeddo; two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Carter of Harveysburg and Nellie of Lafayette; 30 grandchildren, two great-……..(missing) --typed by Walt W
