NEWTOWN— Mrs. Luella Stahl, 83, a native of Newtown and a resident of this community most of her life, died Sunday in the U. S. Public Health Hospital at Staten Island, N. Y. Born Jan. 30, 1877, Mrs. Stahl was the daughter of Benjamin and Mary McClure Riffle. She married Joseph H. Stahl June 22, 1906. Mrs. Stahl was a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church, Newtown Pythian Sisters and the Quigle-Palin Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are the husband, and a daughter, Mrs. Gayle Johnson, of Silver Springs, Md. She was preceded in death by a brother who died in 1935. The body is to be cremated and the ashes brought to Newtown for burial. -- typed by Walt W
