SPRINGMAN, Cordelia - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Cordelia M. Springman of Attica, age 89, died Saturday night, February 27, in Williamsport Community Hospital. She was born at St. Joseph, Illinois, March 23, 1892, the daughter of Charles and Emma Mitchell Swearingen. In 1912, she married Gilberie F. Springman, who died June 12, 1931. She taught school in Attica and Logan Township for 35 years, retiring in 1963. Mrs. Springman was a member of Attica United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Wesleyan Circle, Business and Professional Women, Monday Club and Psi Iota Xi.

  Survivors include a daughter, Emma Alice Kirkman of Attica; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
