Mrs. Mary Alice Spring, 58, died April 3, 1973 at 11:10 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. She had been a patient since Jan 10, 1973. she was born the daughter of John Edward Young and Lula Anderson Young, Dec 23, 1915 in Covington. She was married to Herbert B. "Jay" Spring Dec 23, 1937. Mrs. Spring was a life resident of the Covington are and graduated from Covington HS in 1935. She is survived by her husband Herbert who resides at 117 Elm Drive, Covington. Also survivingare one sister, Mrs. Verlon "Thelma" Hoskins, Rt 2, Covington, one step-sister, Mrs. Opal Hegg, Rt 2, Covington; two stepbrothers, Frances Gellen Boughner of South Bend, ind and George Boughner, Niles, Mich and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at Bodine & Shelby with Rev. ? officiaitng. Burial in Mt. Hope.
