COVINGTON – Charles Spriestersbach, age 64, a resident of South Fifth St., Terre Haute, father of Gerald Spriestersbach of Covington, died Sunday night, Oct. 25, at St. Anthony Hospital in Terre Haute where he had undergone surgery last Friday morning. Mr. Spriestersbach had been employed as a mechanic for the Froedeman Chevrolet Sales in Terre Haute for a little over 35 years and he had retired three years ago. He was honeymooning with his wife, the former Pauline Hill, whom he married Oct. 6, 1970, in Michigan when he became ill. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Gerald of Covington and Philip of Rt. 24, Terre Haute; one stepson, Herschel Fields of Evansville; and one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Sivertson of Cory, Ind., eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 28, at the Fox-Bedino Funeral Chapel in Riley. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, east of Riley. -– jlr
