COVINGTON — Mrs. Barbara Elizabeth Sprague, 42, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient since Jan. 1. Mrs. Sprague was born Oct. 7, 1923 in Warren County, a daughter of Ransom and Gladys Ellingwood Phillips. She married Keith Sprague Aug. 12, 1945. A 1941 graduate of Covington High School, she attended Utterback Business School and St. Elizabeth Hospital Nursing School in Danville. Mrs. Sprague had been a resident of California and also had lived in Brownsburg for six years while she was employed at Allison Division of General Motors in Indianapolis. A member of State Line Christian Church, she had been a resident of the Covington area from 1960 until her death. Survivors include her husband, a part owner of Sprague Department Store; a daughter, Seena Marie; a son, Steve Eugene; her parents of Rt. 2 Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Miller of Danville and Mrs. Margaret Allison of Rt. 2 Covington, and a brother, Earl Phillips of State Line, Ind. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.   --typed by Walt W

Mrs. Keith (Barbara Elizabeth) Sprague, age 42, resident of Covington Rt. 1, died at 3:25 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient since Jan. 1. Mrs. Sprague was born Oct. 7,1923 in Warren County, the daughter of Ransom and Gladys Ellingwood Phillips. She was married to Keith Sprague on Aug. 12, 1945 and he survives. She was a member of the State Line Christian Church. She was graduated from Covington High School in 1941 and attended Utterback Business College and the St. Elizabeth Hospital's School of Nursing for two years. She had lived in California four years and in Brownsburg, Ind., from 1954 until 1960. She was employed at the Allison plant in Indianapolis for six years. The remainder of her life was spent in Covington. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: two children, Seena Marie, age 5, and Steve Eugene, 2; her parents of Covington Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Isabell Miller of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Margaret Allison of Covington Rt. 2; and one brother, Earl Phillips of State Line. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Fogle will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
