SPINNING, Marie E. Smith - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Marie E. Spinning, 36, died at her home near Covington Monday afternoon about 1 o'clock.  Mrs. Spinning had been in failing health for about four years past.

She was born near Covington on June 25, 1907, the daughter of Charles E. and Eliza Spinks SMith. She was a graduate of the Lake View Hospital Nurses School and was a member of Mu Epsilon Lambda sorority.

She is survived by her parents, the husband; John Spinning a son, Jack; two brothers, Loren Smith of Covington and Emerson of the US Navy; one sister, Mrs. Celia Walters of Danville.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Covington with the Rev. Beatty of Terre Haute, officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery with Parham Funeral Home in charge.
