Died, October 9, 1873, near Veedersburg, Isaac N. Spinning, aged 77 years, 6 months and 15 days. He had been suffering for many years from a peculiar affection of the throat, making it difficult and at times impossible for him to swallow. This finally caused his death after existing for twenty five and one half days without eating a morsel, his only sustenance being a very little thin soup and wine. Mr. Spinning has been a resident of Fountain County for over forty years, living and dying on the same farm he occupied on his arrival here from Ohio. He died a member of the Christian Church, to which he had belonged for fifty seven years, and was distinguished for his faith and piety. His second wife and nine children by his first wife, all grown, survive him. Dr. Spinning at Covington is one of the sons.—Attica Ledger
