Covington – Mrs. Elizabeth B. Spinks, age 87 of Danville, Ill, sister of Mrs. Dora Hirschbeel of Covington died at 5:30 p.m. Monday June 24 shortly after being taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. Mrs. Spinks was born June 10, 1881 in Perrysville, the daughter of George and Mary Kespler. She had lived in Danville since 1903. She was married in 1903 to Charles Spinks, who preceded her in death Nov 25, 1939. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Beulah Spinks, with whom she made her home; one sister, Mrs. Hirschbeel of Covington and one brother, Fred Kespler of Perrysville. Mrs. Spinks was a member of the Perrysville Methodist Church and the Danville Sixy Club. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Berhalter Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Oliver Starn officiated and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery – kbz.
