Williamsport – Vivian L. Spencer, 65, Williamsport died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 4, 1998 in Provena United Samaritan Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill.  Born Feb 16, 1933 in Guion, she was the daughter of Clifford Custer and Della Dean Scott Cotton.  She married Vernon Spencer, Sr Feb 20, 1959 in Danville.  He preceded her in death Feb 25 1993. She had been a resident of rural Williamsport since 1959. She formerly resided in Danville, Ill.  She was employed at Continental Filling Corp.  She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church, Danville, Ill.  Survivors include daughters Della (    ) Catlin, Il; Vickie (Jeff) Sollars, Fairmount, Ill; Mickie Price, Attica; son, Bruce (Mary) Spencer, Rossville, Ill; stepsons, Vernon Spencer, Jr, Williamsport; Bill Spencer, Veedersburg; step daughter, Beverly Harper, Grape Creek Ill; sisters, Helen (Paul) LaFoe, Crawfordsville; Alice Nichols, Kingman; Delores (Alan) Newlin, Attica; brothers, James H (Falene) Cotton, Whitesville, Bill (Esther) Cotton, Kingman; Robert L (Rita) Cotton, Kingman; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and step daughter.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Friday) at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Elmo Rodgers officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. - kbz
