Veedersburg - Dave Spear, 47, Veedersburg died at 6:51 a.m. THursday April 27, 2000 in Culver Hospital, Crafordsvile. He as born Feb 27, 1953 in Crawfordsville. He married Jacqueline Powell Dec 31, 1998 who survives. He was a member of the Covington VFW. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a heavy equipment operator in construction. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcyule, weight lifing and running.  Survivors besides the wife, include his mother, Nora Mae Fletcher, Veedersburg, a son Thomas Clint Spear, Veedersburg; two brothers, Paul Keeling and Gary Fletcher, both of Veedersburg; two sisters, Karen (Larry) Allen, Veedersburg; Sharon (David) Briggs, Coppers Cove, Texas; a half sister, Marsue Slinker, Attica; a good friend, Annie Abbott, Veedersburg; four nephews, six nieces and two great nieces. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Dickersson Funeral Home, Veedersburg with Rev. Edwin Retter officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by the VFW.  - kbz
