ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) – Charles C. Spaulding, 101, of Sharpsville, died yesterday (Sept. 14, 1969) at the Huntington Hospital. Born Nov. 20, 1867, in Sharpsville, he had retired from farming and operating a grocery in Sharpsville. Earlier in life, he had been a nurse in the Army and a rural mail carrier. He was a co-owner of the lumber company, a member of Reserve Masonic Lodge 363, Order of Eastern Star and United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Scheibe of Huntington, Mrs. Ralph Henderson of Sharpsville and Mrs. Leatha Wilburn of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Willard of Arizona and a niece, Mrs. Dale Maus of Attica, who was reared in his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Warner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received Tuesday. – jlr
