SPANGLER, William

William F. Spangler, age 83, a former Williamsport Rt. 2 resident and farmer in Warren and Vermillion counties for many years, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Logansport State Hospital.  He had been a patient there 15 years.
Mr. Spangler was born June 1, 1883, in Owen County, Ind., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Spangler.  He was married in August, 1902, at Allerton, Ill., to Katherine Griffith, who preceded him in death in 1935.  Mr. Spangler left the Williamsport community 35 years ago to farm in Vermillion County.
Surviving are: four sons, William H. of Danville, Ill., Perry of West Lebanon Rt 1, Paul W. of Danville, Ill, Rt 3, and Harold E. of Raub; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 8, at the Crowmer & Siddens Funeral Home in West Lebanon.  The Rev. Elsworth Morack officiated and burial was in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
