Glen Spandau, age 56, of 108 Poland Road, Danville, Ill,, brother of Clifford Spandau of Perrysville, died at 4:35 a.m. Friday, July 15, at his home. He had been bedfast for 18 weeks and ill for 20 weeks.
Mr. Spandau was born May 20, 1910 in Vermillon County, Ind., the son of Walter L. and Lethe Cordrey Spandau, and the youngest of seven children. He had been a welder at the Hyster Co., in Danville for 19 years until his illness in February. He attended grade and high school at Cayuga. He was married Aug. 11, 1932, to Evadna Drollinger of Kingman and she survives.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Kenneth of Lafayette and Marvin of Danville; two daughters, Mrs.
Charlotte Chrisman and Mrs. Carolyn Massey, both of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Cummings of Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Mary Mathes of Terre Haute; three brothers, Perle of Mesa, Ariz., Clifford of Perrysville and Wayne of Danville, Calif., and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m, Saturday at the Pape Memorial. Home, Danville. The Rev. Lloyd Davis officiated and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
