SOWERS, William Henry

-- Kingman --William H. Sowers, 82, died at his home here Thursday at 3:30 p.m. after an illness of several weeks. He had operated a hardware store for many years but had retired recently. Mr. Sowers was a member of Pleasant Grove Church and was for 55 years a member of the Masonic Order 314 in Kingman. Born Oct 10, 1875 in Warren County, he was the son of James Madison and Louisa Jane Ratcliff Sowers. He was married in 1921 to Beulah Hadley who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Scott Ratcliff of Kingman and two half-sisters, Mrs. Della Dalton, Brownsburg and Mrs. Bertha Culver of Pittsboro. Funeral services will be held at the Woodrow Funeral Home here at 2 pm Sun with Rev. Kemp Tunis officiating. Bur. in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday. - kbz
