SAMUEL SOWERS,   superintendent of the County Farm of this county, died about 9:40 p.m. at Covington last Sunday evening following a lingering illness of diabetes.  Mr. Sowers was one of the nicest men Fountain County ever produced or possessed.  He was very prominent in the democratic party of this county as was he also a favorite among the republicans and all others.  He was elected to the office of superintendent of the county farm six years ago and served in that position until his death, with credit to himself and honor to his party. Deceased leaves to mourn his departure, besides the enumerable friends over the country, a wife and three children.   He was 44 years of age and had resided in Fountain county all of his life, having been a native of Jackson township. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday from the Lutheran church east of Wallace, interment being made in the cemetery nearby. -s
