Covington—Mrs. Lydia Sowers passed away at 6:15 Tuesday morning at the home of her foster daughter, Mrs. Forest Bowen, in Covington. She had been ill for nine weeks. Mrs. Sowers was born April 22, 1868 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Bodine. She married James M. Sowers October 19, 1904. She was a member of the McKinley Methodist Church in Danville, Ill. Survivors are the husband, foster daughter, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Crumley and Son Funeral Chapel Thursday at 2:30 with the Rev. Earl Sowers of Crawfordsville officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Sowers was a former Danville resident and moved to Covington 16 years ago. – s&e
