SOWERS, John Manson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

John Manson SOWERS, life long resident of this community passed away at his home here last night after a brief illness. Death occurred at midnight and was caused by a complication of diseases. He was taken ill July 27. Mr. Sowers was born March 17, 1862 near Kingman and was the son of Solomon and Emaline Sowers. He was united in marriage with Lucinda E. Lindley on September 28, 1887. He was a member of the Christian New Light Church and during the greater part of his life was engaged as a carpenter. Those surviving are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Everett Sanders; 3 grandchildren, Edward, Evelyn and Eugene Sanders and three brothers, Joseph of Danville, Ill; Sylvester of Kingman and Clayton of Yeddo. Funeral services will be at the home at 2:00 Thursday afternoon with Rev. Lucy Sharp officiating.
