Crawfordsville - Harold Sowers, 66, a retired farmer died unexpectedly Sunday morning in his residence at 2303 Everett Dr. Born in Fountain County, he attended Wallace Schools. Mr. Sowers had farmed in the Waveland area for many years before moving to Crawfordsville.  He was a member of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, Waveland Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, York Rite of Crawfordsville and Low 12 Club of Wallace. In 1931 he was married at Paris, Ill to Ruby Dinwiddie, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dale Sowers of Waveland and Dean Sowers of New Market; three brothers, Parvin Sowers of Mount Zion, Ill; Lawrence Sowers of Mahomet, Ill and Clarence Sowers of Decatur, Ill and one sister, Thelma Fox of Fowler.

Sowers, Harold - Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland with Masonic rites at 8 p.m.  Service in Machledt & Servies Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday the Rev. Larimore K. Wickett officiating. Interment Old Union Cemetery, Waveland. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
