SOWERS, Hannah Evelyn Walton - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hanna Evelyn Sowers, daughter of David and Ruth Walton, was born Jan 16, 1849 in Parke County near Annapolis, ind. She came with her parents to Fountain County when 3 years old where she has lived all her life with the exception of a few years in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Elwood Sowers, April 1, 1868. Soon after her marriage she was converted in the UB Church and was always true to her Master and faithful to that denomintion. To this union 10 children were born, four survive; Lillie Marshall of Kingman, Bessie Brissie of Lafayette Indiana; Daisy Towell and Bert Sowers of Indianapolis. She also has 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her an aged husband, 3 brothers and three sisters, Wm. G and JM Walton of Terre Haute, In; EA Walton of New Boston, Tx; Martha Elwell of Yeddo; Ella Adams and Amartta Baxter of Elk City Kansas all well advanced in years. She also leaves a host of dear friends.   -- kbz
