SOWERS, Gilbert Leroy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Kingman - Gilbert "Leroy" Sowers, 75, of Evansville, and formerly of Kingman died November 7 in his residence.  Mr. Sowers retired from Big G Corporation in 1983 and from Kight Lumber Company in 1993.  He had worked in the building materials industry for more than 50 years.  A WWII Navy veteran, he was a member of the Cullen Avenue Christian Church and Kingman Masonic Lodge 314. He was past president of Lions Club International & National United Commercial Traveler.  Surviving are his wife of 54 years Lalia, a daughter, Sue Buroff of Bedford, IN; 3 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandsons and a great grandson. Funeral services took place Saturday in Alexander  Funeral Home E. Chapel of Evansville. Memorial contributionsmay be made to Deaconness/Ohio Valley Hospice.
