SOWERS, Elliet - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Elliet L. Sowers died at the home of his sister, Mrs. McNeeson on Feb 22, 1905. Mr. Sowers was born in Fountain County, Indiana Dec 24, 1840 came to Kansas in its early history and has lived in this county for many years. JE Dyer, Martin Dyer, Thos. Miller, Herman Pohle, John Gibson, Mr. Nelson were pallbearers. Rev. Chas. S. Early of Ottawa, Kan preached the funeral sermon. The deceased was buried in the Sowers cemetery, two and one-half miles northwest of Centropolis. Funeral services were held in the new Union Church at that place.
