Unknown Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana. The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.
Rockville - Earl Sowers, 24-year-old former Rockville resident died during his sleep Sunday (10-4-1959) at Valparaiso. Cause of his death has not yet been determined. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sowers of Rockville; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pressley of Rt 2, Rockville and Miss Linda Sowers of Rockville; two brothers, Larry of Rockville and Claude of Valparaiso; and a grandmother, Mrs. Emma Nevins of Rockville. Funeral rites will be conducated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Branson & Mau Funeral Home here with Rev. JO Trousdale officiating. Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Note: Although Earl is technically NOT a Fountain Countian, his roots sure are :)_ kz
