Williamsport - Dorvan Leon Sowers, 55, formerly of Williamsport, died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 9, 2005 at Sand Lake Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Born April 21, 1949 in Williamsport, he attended Pine Village schools. Mr. Sowers was a veteran of Vietnam War serving as a petty officer in the Navy from 1973-1976. He worked in housekeeping services at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, NJ. Surviving are four brothers, Milton Sowers of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; Lester Sowers of Brookstone; Orval Sowers of Lafayette and Delbert Sowers of Hobart and three sisters, Vida Roarks and Bessie Howard, both of Attica and Avis Chisum of Beaverton, Oregon.

Sowers, Dorvan L - Friends may call at Abbott Funeral Home one hour prior to 10 a.m. graveside services Friday, March 18 at Morning Heights Cemetery in Delphi. Abbott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. – kbz
