ROCKVILLE, Ind. (CNS) – Claudie E. Sowers, 58, of 511 E. Park, Rockville, died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday (May 3, 1970) at the Robert Long Hospital, where he had been admitted on Friday. He was an electric maintenance man for the city of Rockville. Born in Grayson County, Ky., Jan. 4, 1912, he was the son of Charles and Emma Gott Sowers. He was a member of Parke Lodge 8 F & AM at Rockville and the Parke County LOW 12. Surviving include his widow, Mary; two sons, Claudie Jr. of Rockville and Larry stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C., with the Army; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Presley of Jamestown and Mrs. Linda Henshaw of Terre Haute. Also a brother, Charles of Marshall; eight sisters, Mrs. Juanita Decker, Mrs. Maudie Decker, Mrs. Wandalene Lawson, Mrs. Helen Bratcher, all of Rockville, Mrs. Alice Obivion of Judson, Mrs. Annabelle Clarkston of Kingman, Mrs. Lucille Decker of Clinton and Mrs. Thelma Frost of Florence, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home, Rockville. Burial will be in Memory Garden. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Masonic Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
