SOWERS, Christiana Allen - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

After a year's illness, Mrs. Christiana Sowers, 76, died at 10 a.m. Sunday June 22, 1941 at the home of her niece,Mrs. Flossie Smith near Cates. She was born in Fountain County, July 1864 daughter of James and Topsy Allen and was married to George Sowers in 1881. She was also a member of Coal Creek UB Church. Surviving relatives are: a brother, Alonzo Allen near Cates; a sister, Mrs. Amanda Keller,near Cates, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her husband and three sons preceded her in death. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Coal Creek UB Church. Burial in Coal Creek Cemetery with G. Spencer in charge   --- kbz
