SOUTHGATE, Charles Homer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles Homer Southgate, 42 died at his home in Auroro Monday at noon. He was born Jan 2, 1902 in Knox County, Indiana and son of Charles and Alice Selsert Southgate and was married to Miss Maxine Martin of Covington in 1929.  Surviving are the widow; the mother, Mrs. Alice Southgate; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Bolmgren; and a brother, Alva Southgate all of Covington. Short services were held in Aurora Wednesday with the Masonic Lodge in charge. The body was brought to Covington Wednesday night and funeral services were held at the Crumley Funeral Home at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg officiating.  Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
