WALLACE, Ind. – Bert Souers, 79, a retired carpenter from Wallace, died Friday (Aug. 4, 1978) at Lakeview Medical Center in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient one day. Born June 21, 1899 in Indiana, he was a son of Thomas and Sarah Myers Souers. He started as a carpenter with the late Bronson Roach and worked with him until his retirement a few years ago. Souers was a member of the Lutheran Church. He is survived by several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman, Ind. Pastor Dennis Keeffer will officiate and burial will be in the Phanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Wallace. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. – jlr
