SORTERS, Mark Lee - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

ATTICA – Mark Lee Sorters, 25, of Lindsey, Neb., grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hopkins of Linden and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shepherd of Attica, died Monday near Norfolk, Neb., after being involved in a traffic accident. Born Sept. 11, 1951, in Texas, he was the son of Devon and Barbara Hopkins Sorters. He was graduated from Elgin (Ill.) High School and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for DeKalb Irrigation Co. Surviving in addition to the parents and grandparents are a daughter, Dawn; a sister, Mrs. Bruce Bolkening, and a brother, Kurt, all of Elgin, Ill. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maus Funeral Home here with the Rev. Don Green officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday. – jlr
