Robert C. Songer, 64, Orland Park, Illinois, formerly of the Veedersburg area, died Sunday, January 10, in South Suburban Hospital near Chicago.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Alice Songer of Waynetown.

Funeral services for Robert C. Songer of Orland Park, Illinois, age 64, were held Thursday afternoon at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Daniel Aldrich officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Songer died January 10 in South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois.
He was born in Fountain County, July 26, 1917, the son of Robert and Alice Songer. January 18, 1942, he married Eileen Best, who survives. A veteran of World War II, he was a self-employed contractor.
Also surviving are his parents of Waynetown; a daughter, Anna Rhea of Schroon Lake, New York; two sons, Robert of Markham, Illinois, and Lee of Wales, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren. – thanks so much to “S”
