CAYUGA, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Laura Songer, 77, of Cayuga, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday (April 12, 1971) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn Nickles, on Dana Route 1. Born Jan. 9, 1894, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of James Franklin and Eva Lovenia Wheat Clawson. She was married to Otto C. Songer, who died in 1957. She had been a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Nickles; a son, Chester L. of Plainfield; two brothers, Lenord Clawson of Medford, Ore., and Charles Clawson of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Kane of Indianapolis and Mrs. Mary Prather of Perrysville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two daughters. The body is at the Watson Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete. – jlr
